Canada’s Can+ Visa Programme Admits Dominica and Grenada Citizens

On June 6ᵗʰ, 2023, Canada expanded its visa-free travel to the Caribbean CBI countries of Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and St Lucia. 

In a further development, the North American country has announced that citizens of Dominica and Grenada may now be eligible for the Can+ Visa Programme. But how do they qualify and what benefits do they receive?

What Can You Do With the Can+ Visa Programme 

The Canada Plus Visa Programme, AKA Can+, speeds up the process of applying for a Visitor Visa. This Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) is available for short-term stays in Canada. Typically, this takes two to three weeks to issue.

What the Can+ Visa Programme offers is expedited visa processing. Instead of a 14-21-day waiting period, it will take a maximum of five days. However, you will need to have held a Canadian visa over the past 10 years or be in possession of a valid US visa in order to qualify.

As we can see from a recent Tweet by Canada’s High Commissioner to Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
