RIF Trust’s recent Americas Investor Summit 2024 attracted a large congregation of HNWIs in Africa. Over the course of two days, they attended events in Nairobi, Kenya and Lagos, Nigeria. These two major African cities are home to a growing number of high net worth individuals, along with the continent as a whole.
This very first Americas Investor Summit began on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in the Kenyan capital’s Sarova Panafric Hotel. Around 70 HNWIs were in attendance.
The second Americas Investor Summit event occurred in Lagos on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Approximately 100 HNWIs registered for this key date in the investment migration calendar. Victoria Island’s Lagos Continental Hotel hosted this occasion.
Representing the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Programme was H.E. AMB Jeffery Hadeed. Since its formation in 2013, this has become one of the most popular Caribbean citizenships to acquire. Hadeed has used his fashion and hospitality background to develop a client-facing product.
In addition, HNWIs in Africa would hear from Christina Tabacco, the Director of Global Development at Golden Gate Global in San Francisco. Ms Tabacco talked about the US EB-5 Investor Visa route to a Green Card.
Also appearing was Dinesh Goel, the Global Managing Director at LCR Capital Partners, another EB-5 expert, in Nairobi. Bassel Sweid, LCR Capital Partners’ Director of Global Development, took the stage in Lagos. Sweid has a track record of helping investors from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) acquire US residency through the EB-5 Visa option.
There were presentations in both cities from Moon Gate Antigua, who offer a real estate route to Caribbean citizenship. In Nairobi, Kenneth Njuguna, a partner at ALN Africa, treated the audience to his tax law knowledge.
Strategic Partner Ilana Van Huyssteen-Meyer covered the benefits of the Canadian Start-Up Visa, in Kenya. “Growing up in South Africa, I understand the issues HNWIs in Africa face including mobility limitations,” Van Huyssten-Meyer described.
In Nairobi, there was a VIP Americas Investors Summit Cocktail Evening. The venue was the 10th Floor Atrium of Kofisi Square. Again, guests enjoyed privileged access to international Residency and Citizenship by Investment (RCBI) experts, government representatives, real estate developers, and USA funds.
These included our very own Managing Director, Ranny Muasher, who was on hand to speak about Residency by Investment in the USA. “I’m Jordanian through heritage,” explains Muasher. “However, I’m American born and bred and also the proud holder of a St Lucia passport.”
In attendance at the Lagos event was our Nigeria Country Manager, Zuberu Kadiri. As Kadiri notes, “As Africans get richer, wealth management becomes more important.” “I invested in a Caribbean citizenship because I am planning for my future and my children’s future beyond that.”
The Lagos event also returned at nighttime. From 6.00PM to 8:00PM, GAIA AFRICA hosted VIP Americas Investors Summit Cocktail Evening. Guests got a chance to mingle with global RCBI specialists, government representatives, real estate developers, and USA funds.
