About Kuwait

Kuwait, a small but affluent country in the Middle East, is nestled between Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Despite its small size, it boasts a population of over 4.2 million people. The country is known for its hot desert climate, with temperatures often soaring above 40°C in summer, while winters are considerably cooler.

Kuwait’s culture is deeply rooted in Arab traditions that are reflected in its architecture, music, attire, and cuisine. Islam is the dominant religion, influencing the country’s laws, customs, and holidays. The official language is Arabic, though English is widely spoken.

The backbone of Kuwait’s thriving economy is its vast oil reserves, which are the world’s sixth-largest. This has paved the way for a high-income economy, with significant funds invested in healthcare, education, and infrastructure. Kuwaiti Dinar is the highest valued currency in the world.

Kuwait is also renowned for its progressive political system, being one of the few Gulf countries with a robust parliamentary system. Its capital, Kuwait City, is a bustling metropolis with a skyline filled with modern architecture interspersed with historic landmarks. Despite the rapid modernization, Kuwait has managed to preserve its historical charm and Bedouin traditions, making it a fascinating destination to explore.
